Question: Why would a relay only affect the first start of the day and not any other time? Electrical issues usually are very erratic, this problem shows itself the same way everytime.
I just swapped the Ignition Relay with the Fan Relay before starting it tonight (sat for almost 24 hours) and it didn't fire up immediately, but didn't crank too long either.
I know it's not the fuel check valve. I went out to dinner last night and the car sat for almost 3 hours. It started on first shot.
Still have a few things to check, but it almost seems like the gas is a factor - just filled up 2 days ago and although I still see the lag on a cold start, it's definitely improved.
didnt crank too long. okay this was an improvement. old adage; electricty wont lie to you but it will fib. if its the relay what may be happing is first try contacts close but dont complete circuit next try they arc and complete lots of reasons . this is so hard to diag. because of one shot deal. mine didnt start like the old days [just turn the key and i dont think it turned one complete spin and fired but it doesnt crank as long . again give me a few more days testing if i feel i,m in the right direction i,ll try a new relay. lets pull together on this thank you for doing the fuel psi test that is what drove me to procede with my testing
