For Those Running Iron Blocks...
Just curious how much the handling was affected by the added weight. Especially interested if you run track days.
I am trying to decide to base my motor swap on a LS2 or a LQ9 block. Aluminum will cost roughly $1000 more for 65 lbs less weight, but I run a track day every 6 weeks so I think the extra cash probably be worth it.

In my 97, Its a non issue.........and I added a 6 point RB & Mini tubs to boot.
Autox, road race and drag races well, very predictable on street rubber.
No R compound..yet
Your oil temp will be higher, I see 235 on an average driving day....of course that is drivivng hard anyway
275 at the track(s). My next mod will be an EOC
