Default Fog Light Brighter Bulb Part# Needed

I remember seeing this posted somewhere.... but I can't find it. I'm looking for a replacement bulb for the stock foglights. Just a brighter (higher wattage) bulb that will plug into the factory socket. I know there are some available (I'm not looking for PIAA and other aftermarket) just a Sylvania or GE part #. Thanks in advance! - Al

Does not make much of a difference. I tried them. Unless maybe it was because they were the sylvania kind. PIAA's might be better.

885 is what you want. It was the foglight bulb on 93-97 Camaros, and is 50w vs 37w for the stock 893.

Also, make sure you're lights are aimed properly. Mine were pointed down. The small hole nest to the light has a torx (T10, I think) adjusting screw.

Be sure to look at the cross reference...there is also a SilverStar that is supposed to fit too. I already had the 885's when I found it.

The SilverStar part number is 885. BTW, I replaced my OEM fogs (with the Silverstar bulbs) with a pair of PIAA 1100 driving lights and didn't see that much improvement. IMHO the PIAAs aren't focused enough to be a far reaching driving light. Also, they don't have the horizontal "cut" line that the stock fogs have.
