you will see a great reduction in the brake dust... the stopping performance will be slightly reduced.. I had ceramics for 3 years and they were fine for daily driving.
The brake dust will be reduced to the eye but it is still there. The ceramic pads produce a lighter color dust so you eliminate the rusty brown looking mess the semi metalic pads emit. It is also less corrosive to the aluminum wheels.I have them on all my cars and wouldn't buy anything else at this time. If you have ever seen a Ford Expedition or F150 they have the worst conditions for this I put ceramics on them and the wheels stay clean.Customer stays happy.
I put on Z06 pads all around about two weeks ago and the dust was bad. Just one local trip of about 25 miles and I could see it on the rims easily. After posting and getting recommendations to go to GM ceramic (durastop) pads I did this 3 days ago and have put about 100 miles on so far. There is a very light dust on there but I could't notice it till I wiped my fingers on the wheel. Easily wiped off and a heck of a lot better than before. I just bought some drilled and slotted rotors from rotorpro and he told me NOT to use ceramic pads on these type of rotors. Maybe they build more heat?

Yep- ... the dust is real fine and white in color- makes it a lot less noticable too.

I just put on Slotted and Drilled from Sport Brakes. My purchase included pads which were ceramic on the front and metallic for the rear.
Raybestos Q Ceramic Metallic here for 5 years. Still get black dust but not on the rims, only on the front & rear sides of the car. Still less that the factory originals.

I changed from drilled rotors and went with the dimpled/slotted rotors with ceramic pads. No worries on cracking with "dimpled"..

When you installed your drilled and slotted rotors, do you now hear hum or feel a slight vibration when you apply the brakes? I put Eradispeeds on my 2002 and I experience that. Never had drilled and slotted rotors before so I don't know if that's normal but some say it is.
I used Ceramics and the dust problem is much less noticeable and I think they work fine with the D & S rotors. The slow speed stopping seems very responsive and strong. I understand ceramics need to get hot before they work to the max. Haven't had a chance to test that yet.
