C1288 Service Active Handling SOLUTION and custom shift LED mod (LINK)
OK so tonight I finally dove in to fix this SOB. I had a huge helping hand from Steve (FixedRoof).

Problem: C1288 Service Active Handling/Service Vehicle Soon
Steering Wheel Pos. Sensor Faulty
Solution: Order new sensor via local dealership @ cost........hookup.
and install it in my garage.
Knee Board out
Steering Column out
Sensor on the end of the column
Simply slip the old sensor off and the new one on.
After we got everything back together we went out to do a 'systems check'. I would say it passed.

Not that bad to install... looks more involved than it really is...
