What Does Your Oil Pressure Read When....
Hi All,
A few of the prior posts on oil pressure readings has made me kind of paranoid.
I put the key in the ignition, and turned it to the "ON" position. (I wanted to make sure that the gauge did not show any reading.) As expected, the oil pressure on the gauge read "0". I thought "great"!
BUT then I cycled through the different displays on the DIC. On the DIC, the oil pressure read 4 psi althought the gauge itself read 0 psis. (This is with the key in the "ON" position - car is not running.) I had just turned the car off about 10 minutes earlier, just after I came back from an hour drive.
Do any of your C5s do the same thing?
Does this mean that if the car is running, the oil pressure displayed on the DIC (not the gauge itslef) will read 4 psi higher than what the actual oil pressure is???
