Default Light weight fly wheel ?

Anybody running a light weight fly wheel on a daily driver car? Is it worth it? Heard starts and stops are kind of jerky. My wife will need to move the car every now and then so is this a bad idea.

I have the aluminum flywheel on my daily driver. It took me awhile to get use to it, particularly the starts, noe no problem. I love it, it revs much quicker, makes it feel like more HP. One of the better mods I've done. I got the complete kit from Carolina Clutch, best price.

I have the aluminum flywheel as well. I love it! Revs come up much quicker. Install a remote bleeder once you have the clutch and stuff out. It only took a day of stop and go driving to get use to the change.

Ditto- I like mine. It took much longer than a day to get used to it- but some of that might have been clutch break in too.

Do any of you guys with lightened flywheels drag race? What exactly feels different about it?

It doesn't matter if you are running street tires. However, with sticky ET streets or slicks it whii hook and bog because you lost the rotational inertia of the heavy flywheel.

There is no change in driveability n the flywheel swap. You have to keep in mind that all these new aluminum flywheels were installed with much more agressive clutches and it is the clutch that takes getting used to.

My SPEC 3 with the fidanza was no different than stock in feel but the RAM 931hd with the fidanza is a monster to drive at times.
