Finally I found myself a set of “original” ’02 Z06 rims/tires, which I am planning to put on my ’01 C5 Vert.
Now I have the problem with the tire pressure sensors. I am not sure if I want to use them on this set of rims, or not. Is there a way to get rid of the codes I would get for good, or would I need to clear them every time I start the car? Any suggestion?
Does somebody know if the sensors will fit the original Z06 rims?
Is the stem hole in the correct position? Or any other thing I have to be aware of?
I have a set of repro Z06 wheels and the sensors fit without any problem. But I've heard that the OEM wheels require a thicker bushing (O-ring) on the sensor stem (inside the wheel) to seat properly..... (this is 3rd hand information!).
