Default Sorry if this is a dumb Question...

Can someone please tell me what kind of Intake I have? I have a 2000 Vette that I would like to upgrade to one of the better stock or aftermarket intakes. I would rather get something that needs little to no mods done to it. I am not sure if I have a LS1 or LS2. I hear the LS6 is better?
I’m sure someone out there can answer this. This forum always has good guys with the right answers.

Sorry if this is a little elementary of a question.

you have the LS1, in 2001 Chevy started using the LS6's on all vettes, the change is easy, however on an otherwise stock engine you will see a very small difference, and then only at the upper RPM's. Do you have the stock airfilter? If so i would change this right away, you will see a difference while spending less money

Unless you are changing the heads, cam and putting on some headers I would not change the intake

Hi David, also, check the SouthWest Section of the Forum for Get-To-Gethers around DFW and talk to some of the Vette Guys. They'll give you some good info.
