Autotap: What is it?

Autotap: What is it?
I hear alot about Autotap but not sure what it is. Does it only record data on your car or it can also change certain perameters in your engine such as fuel/air mixture...etc?

You cannot adjust any pcm parameters with it however.

It's a scan tool.
it only reads data from the cars computer.
you can check trouble codes and use it in real time to "see" how the engine is running.

Its a data collection tool. You can't change setting with it, but its great to have. You should be able to get one fairly cheap from the classifieds section of the form. All you need is the hardware...software is downloaded from their site for free.
