I use Techron when I change oil, about 7500/1year. I talked to the people at Techron and they claim that you don't have to use it all up in one trip. It is ok to burn up the tank over a period of time. Just my 2 cts.
A periodic bottle of Techron is also supposed to keep you from experiencing, the fairly common, erratic fuel guage issues on C5s...cleans the sensors.

NFS...I agree...partially. Don't over do it with any of the additives. Most of the STP stuff is trash, but tests have been done with the Techroline to find them effective in a fuel system. I add one pint (or whatever it is) about every other oil change...to the fuel!!
For most people in the states, if you fill up at a station like Chevron, it will have the techroline additive in the fuel mix and you shouldn't have to add the additives.
Oh yeah...and STAY AWAY from octane boosters!! Just don't DO IT!!

Chevron puts the additive in their gas. I've also heard that Union 76 puts a similar additive in their gas, but it is not as well advertised as the Techron product that Chevron uses.
I change my oil at 3K intervals and I know the LS1 is prone to have carbon buildup.I run a bottle thru mixed with 10 gallons of fuel just before each change with the goal of having a clean fuel system as well as preventing excessive carbonization. Is this a good idea? Are there any other products avail. that may do a better job?
Use a spray bottle of 50/50 water and IPA. run it up to 2500 RPM and start spraying

This works for me where the only choices of gas seems to be those with a high sulphur content. I add 12 ounces every three months.
Try the Redlinegas additive. The redline injector cleaner is endorsed by BMW and GM.
GM does not endorse or recommend any Redline product. GM, however, does approve of Chevron gasoline. Chevron is a "TOP TIER" gasoline approved by GM, Honda, BMW, and Toyota. Chevron was the first brand of gasoline to be rated as "TOP TIER". Chevron's Techron gasoline additive has been approved and recommended by BMW for many years. Even before the "TOP TIER" designation, Chevron was the gasoline of choice for BMW.
