Anyone know the specs on 2003 zo6 heads compaired to my stock 01 coupe heads? Wanting to go with new head cam package, and will be using a fast 90mm intake setup. With this intake setup can I get away with cam only ,Already have CAI, and Longtubes. Will be buying HP tuner.
how big of cam are you going? also with all the head choices out there right now why limit yourself to stock ls6 heads. If anything check out TSP ported ls6 heads.

03 LS6 heads have lighter valves, will raise your CR .50 and breath better than your stock LS1 heads. Unless you already have the Fast 90 intake setup you would be better off spending your money on a set of ported LS6 heads. If you can't afford to do both the ported heads and the Fast setup.

What exactly is meant by "ported" LS6 heads?
Aren't the "ports" on the heads the same as that on the intake to begin with?....assuming the intake is already an LS6 intake?....or are we talking exhaust ports?
If it's a dumb question, go ahead and laugh , but don't forget I still need and answer, when ya get done rolling on the floor.
I'm no pro on this but, basically you are removing material from both the intake and exhaust ports for more flow (cfm) not removing any material from the seats. And area's are also polished for better air flow.
