Missing Bolt = Leaky Diff?
After trying to temperary fix my diff leak with some liquid metal and not working I took another look today and it appears there might be a bolt snapped off, take a look at my pics and tell me what you guys think?

probably missing....I can tell you from experience if that flange breaks off you need a new case...

hard to tell from the pics but that looks like the alignment dowel for the side cover. It is not a bolt it is to align the cover. If you can get your finger in there it should feel smooth on the edge. The only way to fix the leak is to pull the rear diff and replace the side cover o-rings and axle seals
