Thanks to the forum members who provided some kind insight to me - finally got my C5 coupe lowered this weekend, approx. 3/4".
Because the shop didn't have a flat floor, they lowered each of the four bolts (2 front, 2 rear) by an equal about of thread rotations (6 turns each) after marking each bolt. Is this the right procedure?
I've been running around today trying to find a flat place to measure, but haven't been successful (repeating provides different measurements). The forum comments indicate I should measure
from the 'tie down' points - what are these? (I was measuring from the 4 points on the frame where you can insert the lift pucks). Is this the right spot?
Although my left/right measurements differed depending on where I parked, the rear was consistently ~ 1/4" higher than the front, so there is some rake...my impression was that all four of these points needed to be perfectly level, is that correct?
The two points opposite each other(left front to right front and left rear to right rear) should be the same. With a little rake I doubt that all four will be the same and its not important.

The place you put the jacking pucks is also the tiedown points. You need to have the rake......the rear should be around 1/4" higher than the front. If everything was fine before you lowered it, and you turned each bolt an equal amout of turns, then everything should be just fine. Drive it about 100 miles then have the alignment checked.
