Driving down street, suddenly cars goes into REDUCED ENGINE POWER mode, get "Service traction control" on the DIC along with some " Service Active Handling codes !! ( The code was P 1518 in the DIC ) Had the exactsame thing happen 4 months ago and the Chevy dealer mechanics says it was chaffed wires on the wiring harness. They taped and sealed them all up, now 4 months later the same thing. Last time and this time, the #17 fuse was blown. This is the THROTTLE CONT. fuse. Dealer checked the TAC module 4 months ago and said it was OK, along with the battery and any possible acid leakage onto the PCM or TAC modules. This time, replaced the fuse next day, car ran good for three days, then same thing happens again- Blown fuse, Reduced Engine power and all the acitve handling and traction control codes ! Does this sound like it may be a bad grounds issue, like Bill's thread talked about?? Any ideas ? Dread taking car back to the Stealerships again!! Thanks for any input !
I think I will try the grounds, and the wires going to the throttle acuator motor and see if there are any shorts or wiring issues. Seems I can check these first before I go to the dealer as they will be charging me $96/hr for labor and diagnostic fees. Last time they said it was the TAC module, replaced it, and then the #17 fuse still kept blowing. They put my original module back in and then found the chaffed wires in the harness, this seemed to fix it til now. I'd like to try and do the things I can find out on here first, so any info is appreciated !!

Looks like there’s only one ground in the circuit "White/Black wire". The yellow and brown wires going to the throttle body are good suspects. Also, check and clean the throttle body itself.
I just started having a very similar issue with fuse 17 blowing. What was the cause of your issue?
