Check Harbor Freight they have a battery tender for less than ten dollars. I have had it on my car on and off for over a year and no problems, sometimes left for 2-3 months without driving.

I use one all the time. It's an El Cheapo but it works. IMHO in 3 weeks the battery will be down.
I have a 99 that has been on a battery tender since day one, even its for one day or a weekend. It certainly increases the battery life. I'm still using the original AC Delco battery, never had a problem, no leaks, and it's never shown a decrease in output. Having said that, I'm replacing it this summer, no use pushing my luck!
