It seems that I have serious problem with transmission in my 2002 C5 Coupe. I do not have 2nd gear and oil is dark brown and smell little bit. Any idea what is the reason of this problem? Car has 25k miles on it and was driven absolutely normally - no racing etc.

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH, YEP.Thats a VERY common deal with the 6 spd. and the dealer KNOWS it!!!!!!!! Mine went to before I started to drive the car,..............con alegro I had an extended warenty so they fixed it (as they just pushed it on that) even when I still had warenty left form the factory!!!! So my guess is that if they have to fix it they are going to play dumb (go figure!) even though my mechanic TOLD me thay had a "bullitin" about it!! (something to do with the "lock out") this was back in "04" and the final for the rebuild was $2.500
Year 2002 with automatic transmission. Now, maybe more responses ?
It appears that your clutches are burned up based on the dark color of your fluid.
You probably should of also noted that you like in Poland. Your best bet may be to find a local GM dealer to repair your transmission as the freight charges would be extremely high to get one from the USA.
My second gear went out also on my A4. Rodney said it was the belt slipping, I think. Drove it to Rodney's at RPM 4 hours away and he fixed it overnight! Drove it home the next morning! He does great work.
