VaraRam VR-1...The Ultimate Ram Air Induction System??
nov. vette magazine...pg. 25...full page ad for this "no chopping, no cutting, no drilling, bolt on ram air system." supposedly adds up to 35 hp to stock c5. i've never heard of this company before. anyone??

I looked in the mag and for 500 they can keep it...interesting looking design though.
Basically 2 tubes running from the fogs up to a central meeting point where the stock airbridge would be...hmmmm
I've seen a member or 2 do something similiar with "ducting" running from the fogs to the sides of the vortex box.

The flanges mounted in the Vortex box is bassreflex-ports made for speakers. The flexible tubing is made of plastic/rubber and has a integrated steelwire to make it possible to bend the tube without having the tube collapsing. The bassreflex-ports are 78mm and the tubes has a inner diameter of 80mm. I have used standard clamps securing the tubes to the 'bass reflex ports'. I made a oval hole in the foglight areas and had the tube go out a little bit through the hole. This does not look so good so I have added Z06 screens to the foglight areas. The best would be if someone made a new version of the plastics surrounding the foglight with a hole and a flange on the inside. The only problem is that it is not so much space on the left side so you need to compress the tube a little(making it oval) to get pass.
