Charging system fault????
I have a 98 Vert and Charging System Fault has come up on DIC 4 times now then goes off. I checked the battery charge on the DIC and it goes from 12.4 to 13 at 600 RPm and at 2000 rpm it reads 13.3 or 4. The belt is good and it seems tight. Any ideas?????

Annoying! Must be a thing with the PCM. Likes juice on regular basis!

Have a 98 vert myself.
... had the same problem with mine. the large red wire that comes off the back of the alt goes to the starter and hooks up with the batt wire there...I found that the nut that holds the alt and batt wires on to the starter was a little loose..took the wires all the way off and wire brushed the conections and then reinstalled the wires....have not had a problem since.
