The c5 doesn't use a chip.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
One of the forum vendors, http://www.zip-products.com/ markets "Jet Power Control Modules" which appear to plug in somewhere, like a "chip". Or are these in fact reprogrammed PCMs? In the picture there is nothing to compare for a sense of scale.
They also claim up to 22 hp gain for $249.
I have not asked http://www.zip-products.com for any details yet.
Thought I might ask disinterested third parties first.

For some reason, no one believes me. Whatever.

Now days its just a few key strokes, a couple mouse clicks. Completely redo your advance curve or fuel map while sitting in your recliner! And there is no need to even wash your hands when your done! Now that is easy hot rodding!

If you feel so strongly, why don't you buy one and post the before and after dyno results. We'd like to know.
It was on the car when I bought it along with the Corsa catback,Halltech T1,180 stat with Vinci fancontroller and a adjustible fuel pressure regulator.
Had some problems with the car, that turned out to be a bad knock sensor.
Before I knew that I took everyting off(except Corsa, stat and Vinci)just to check.
After changing the knock sensor I put the Halltech back with NO difference in performance.I then put the Jet back on AND got some knocking at full trottle!
I added the adjustible fuel pressure regulator and now the car runs fine.
It pulls better with all these things on!The fuel is set to 60psi so it needs the extra gas to do its job(atleast on my car).
That said,I would have spent the money on some longtubes instead

for handhelds there is the predator and the hypertech power programmer.
if you want to tune it yourself then there's HP Tuners or EFILive software.
all depends on what your comfortable with, but there is much more power to be gained by going with HP Tuners or EFILive.
