Ok, yesterday afternoon I cracked my windows in the vette before going into work (It's hot down here in NC). Come back outside to go home, & the fob doesn't unlock the door. I think it's the fob, but the passenger door unlocks. Start the car, go to put the windows down, but the drivers side doesn't budge, won't go down, won't go up, nothing. I hit the lock/unlock switch, the pass door works, but the drivers door doesn't. So this is how it stands: the drivers door window & door lock don't function via the door switch, but the passenger side does.
Took the door panel off, checked everything, all looked good. Put it back together, still doesn't work. Get in the car today to go to lunch, & it works again. My feeling now is that since it intermittent, it must be the DCM & not the switch itself.
Check if you have any codes, and I'm betting you do, maybe history, but no doubt left door control. Intermittent? Think electrical. Electrical on a C5? Think loose or corroded grounds... first. Good Luck
There is a common problem with the door harness plug where it connects to the car harness. The plug is located just inside from where the accordion rubber boot attaches to the car from the door. You should check that plug for corrosion. Like Silver98 says above, check codes and write them all down, post them, clear them and see what comes back later. Also be sure to post any codes that return. Next time you have the problem check codes while your having the problem. Look for "LDCM NO COMM" or LDCM NO CODES" message, that will tell use a lot about your problem. You could have a bad door module but I'm betting a bad connection or ground. Here is the power, ground, and DLC diagram for your car.
