Default Best quiet tire???????

Hey guys. Its about time for new tires. I have BFG COMP TA's right now and the road noise sucks. What is a good, low noise tire that dosnt cost an arm and a leg. Im running 18's all the way around.

thx

I disagree based on the initial question. The GS-D3s a considerably louder than the Michelin Pilot Sport *** that I just replaced with the GS-D3s. But I do agree that they are great tires!

Default take a look

The Michelin Pilot A/S (as in all season) are very quiet. They do NOT look like an all season tire and are available in Corvette sizes....I have been VERY happy with mine. I can hear just the Corsa Indy's on the highway, and life is good!............there is NO tires noise at all.....

Love my new Kumo ASX's. They are much less noisey and ride much softer.

Just purchased them from the Tire Rack and they came in two days and a local shop had no problems mounting them and reseting the tire monitors.

I have the Kuhmo ASX as well. They seem to be very quiet to me, and others reported they don't get noisy when they age. I can't personally verify that, but that is one of the reasons I bought a set. By the way, what is a good cold tire pressure for these in the summer? Mine were mounted at 35/36 psi at the dealer. Seems high to me.
Regards, Ter

LOVE my Michelin PS2s. Very, very quiet, great handleing in the dry and wet, and they look great. But they are definitly pricey.

is there any reason you went with the asx as compared to the mx? is there any disadvantages of the mx's like rain, noise, wear, etc. other than a small price difference?

I've found 35 to be too high. I run 32 f/30 rear.

Oh yeah, another vote for the Nitto NT555 street tires.
