Burbling and popping on decellaration

Burbling and popping on decellaration
I just put a Corsa Pacesetter exhaust with a Bassani X pipe on my C5. It sounds great, but I was surprised that it burbles and pops between shifts. Is this normal? I thought that the X pipe was supposed to eliminate that.

Nature of the design...I think it sounds like an exotic sports car myself!
