Run Flat Question

What are the pros and cons on runflats?

I am needing new tires. Never go to track but do run hard on the street occassionaly.

I don't think there is a spare on my 98 c5 so it seems runflats are a good option.

Pros.... you can drive a distance ( varies by brand) without air and not ruin your wheel.
Very stiff side walls helping reduce roll.

Cons
NOISE
bump steer
overall poor handling

I went with the Firestone Firehawks run flats. Much less road noise then the stock Goodyears, and a nicer ride. Just my 2cents.

Take a look at the Michelin Pilot Sport ZPs (run-flats).

I changed to them and it changed my entire view of run-flats.

Much quieter, better feel, better tracking.
