For those of you that can't tell a REAL Bendix product from the FAKES here you go. Many of us bought rotors here thinking we were getting REAL Bendix product as noted in the sale. Unfortunately, the product the vendor sent us is NOT a Bendix product at all. My "FAKE" rotors are actually drilled clear through the cooling vanes of the rotor in many locations. Naturally these cannot be used, yet the vendor sent us hundreds of them. I installed my REAL BENDIX ROTORS today and took pics of the real BENDIX product, as well as the fakes. PLEASE if you purchased from the (American Made) rotor sale check your rotors, the life you save may be your own. I have not mentioned the vendor name as requested last month by a moderator. Those who were ripped off know the company in question. If you don't know, PM me and i'll tell you. Here are some pictures for you.
New "REAL USA MADE" BENDIX Rotor
This is a real BENDIX rotor box
Notice the "MADE IN USA" on the lowere left
FAKE on the left.... REAL BENDIX on Right
Again, Fake on the left.... Real BENDIX on Right
These pictures are of the drilled through cooling vanes. Pictures are bad since I needed to get close and really have no idea how to take a good picture. I'm sure you get the idea....
WOW -- that scalloped rotor vane is amazing -- that's criminal.
And you're not allowed to say which vendor.
It was requested of me, not to mention the vendor as they have been removed from our forum. I posted this not to beat the company up but to show the box the "REAL" product comes in, as well as warning our members of the potential safety hazards.

If a vendor is lying call them on it! Why not? People who do that are not to be trusted. What could be more important than getting the right parts on than brakes? To me it is fraud and false advertising.
John, this was that guy offering rotors for sale with a full warrenty against warping and cracking in the Parts for Sale section. I considered buying 3 sets figuring that i would crack them anyways so I'd never have to buy rotors again, 1 on the car, 1 spare, one in the mail but wanted to see what happened first. A lot of guys never got their parts, the ones that did waited months on rotors that didn't match. No one could get their money back, name calling started, bad deal all around.
Last I heard, he's out of business and I think getting sued so no worries about him selling any more rotors, just have to watch out for E-bay and such.

John, he has been called out here in numerous threads already. Lancer033 is correct, all sorts of crap is raining down on them. The "fakes" shown above, are being sent first thing in the morning for structural analysis. After that, the fun against this company really begins.
I only took pictures of a couple bad drill holes. Each rotor has about a dozen drill holes through the vanes. These rotors are so bad that it's not a question if it will fail, it's just when it will fail.
So how do I tell since I only got the slotted ones from them and not in the factory "Bendix" box. I questioned them on it when I got them how do I know for sure they are real Bendix brand when there is no sealed box they came in to verify it? There are no markings on the rotors themselves either to signify Bendix brand. I figured when I got them they probably werent real Bendix items.

briann510.... Real Bendix Rotors are packaged in the box shown above. The product we were shipped are not Bendix parts. This has been confirmed here on the forum, by myself as well as SaveWave (admin) of this site through Bendix directly.

I figured as much! Since mine arent drilled maybe they will be ok. I knew since they shipped them in generic boxes with no labeling it was a scam.
Now im assuming we are talking about the same vendor here, but I see the vendor I bought from is still in business and selling just as before on their website. So without saying what vendor it is exactly does it start with a W?
Also do all of the Bendix rotors have the stampled "L" and "R" designations on the faces?

YES we are talking about the same vendor. All Bendix products are clearly marked as shown in the picture above. I am posting an PORTION of an e-mail from Bendix. This should help you understand.
Our rotors are boxed individually and clearly labeled either Bendix (that would be our premium) or Bendix Global (globally sourced) and both are clearly marked with country of origin on the label. In addition, we have our own line of drilled and slotted rotors, under the Bendix Street HP brand name.
Vette_Fan.... I have not gotten a bill from Bendix yet. I have a call into their office for bill. As soon as I get a reply I will post the info here.
well I think all of us need to get into a class action lawsuit with the smuck who owns the business. I checked my rotors last night and they looked ok with no cracks or anything unusual (yet). Ive driven them about 150 miles so far so maybe nothing has shown up until I get more miles on them. Im curious where the smuck actually got the rotor blanks from.
Installed my "fake" Bendex drilled/slotted rotors 3 weeks ago. Inspected them pretty closely and found two of them (one front & one rear) with a couple cooling vanes grazed but not actually drilled through. I've got about 1500 miles on them now and haven’t seen any problems yet but will be changing them out very soon for a real brand name product.
Maybe Bendex would be willing to do a CF group purchase for us since we all initially thought we were buying a Bendex product. Even though there not obligated to It would be kind of like damage control, and go a long way with positive customer reinforcement
