My car is in the shop because it was making a noise that I couldn't figure out. It was a slight high speed resonance and slight vibration at about 45+. And it's not a wheel bearing, it kind of goes woooomp every 2 seconds or so, if anyone knows what that is, pleas enlighten me.
My car is set up with iforged 19/20 combo. The rear was lowered with bolts, and in the front the bolts were cut, but bushings were left in. The sop just called and said that when he got the car up on the lift that the oil pan was actually sitting on the leaf spring. This is with the car just sitting there, suspension not compressed which is obviously bad. Has anyone else seen this problem, or does can anyone look visiually to see how close your spring is to the oil pan. i have never heard of a clearance issue like this from lowering. I'm wondering if maybe I have something else wrong with my suspension. Thanks for the help.
Strange because the engine sits on engine mounts mounted to top of K member and spring mounts to bottom of same member. Rubber portion of motor mounts broken?
Lowering the car with the bolts does nothing to put the motor closer to the frame/cross member. As posted above the motor mounts are probably the culprit.
My first thought is that you have a broken motor mount. Lowering changes nothing between the motor and the suspension. I'm surprised your mechanic hadn't thought of this.
