"Service Column Lock" ....No, not again!!
Got the dreaded "Service Column Lock" DIC read out today after I had finished installing front brake pads. The car was in the garage with the steering wheel cocked all the way to one side. Oh sh_t! :mad
This is the second time. 12 months ago the same thing happened. Flat towed to the dealership and a new lock installed.
This time I got on the forum a one guy says remove fuse #29 under the hood. Tried it, nothing. Another guy say's "turn the steering wheel back and forth vigorously while cycling the key on and off" Wow!!!! :D it worked! Thanks guy's! This forum is great! :cheers: Now, I have to go dance with the chevy dealership tomorrow, but at least I'm driving the car in.
