Code C1214?????
Just returned from my local dealer who wants 1,341.55 to replace the ECBM on my 01 Baby. She only has 14,333 miless.This is to fix the Abs/Service traction message Any other solutions or a,m I reguired to comply and fork over the money. I just thought it was too soon for something like this to happen.
Anyone else experience this problem.

TONS of threads on this issue. Do a search on EBCM and EBTCM. WELL documented. I'm surprised as a Forum member since 2000 you aren't aware of this VERY common problem/flaw.
Buy one yourself from one of the online discount GM parts place for around $600 - $700. Easy to replace, 6 bolts is all. Thirty minute job.
Better yet try to get GM to fit it under "good faith" as I did out of warranty.
