Default Identifying the LS6 Intake

Just courious if there is an easy way to tell if you have an LS1 or LS6 intake? I bought my 98 used and thought it was pretty much stock and still do, but a guy with an 01 was looking at my car and told me my car has the LS6 intake? He said there is some kind of inlet on top of the intake if it's the LS1. I don't know if this is right or not so I thought I'd check with the experts!!!!!!

Almost immposible to tell without a peak inside,& this is according to Will Hanzell ,GM's group manager of Performance Parts division. The LS6 has a flat floor ,the LS1 has a "wing" shaped floor & its deeper in the middle.

It is not a LS6 intake, all 2001 and newer years got the same intake
and you do not need to read anything.
Pre 2001 part # is on the passenger side, left side on 2001 and newer

ok I went out and took a look, my intake isn't any of the numbers given, the number on the passenger side of the intake is:

12556333

anyone know what that could be? again I have a 98 model.

Thanks
