Dead Air Condition
They said that there was so much metal in my system that it kept clogging up the orifice and then the compressor shuts off. So now we have done like 5 flushes on the system, they replaced my actuator, compressor, and added an inline filter to catch the metal.
So I pick the car up and the AC is working great. 15 minutes later it starts to cycle. If you watch the AC light on the dash it will come on for 2 seconds and then off for 5, and it will just repeat that. The first time I picked the car up if you pushed the AC button it would just turn off immediately so this is a different problem.
My question is, is it possible they didn't put enough r134 into it? Can I check the orifice myself, if so how?
What is the best way to handle this since the dealership is the one that keeps making mistakes. I forgot to mention that when I picked my car up the first time my ABS and Traction Control Service lights were now on. I had to pay them to fix that, even though they are the ones that did it. I got the car aligned as well and it still pulls slightly to the right like it did before and they even charged me an extra $100 because it was hard to get my car onto machine since it is lowered. All around they have taken me big time and I am forced to have them fix my AC for the third time because I am into them already with so much cash. For instance, maybe I can goto another chevy dealership and have them do the work since the parts they just installed should still be under warranty since they are a day old. I don't trust the dealership anymore but I don't want to spend any more money since I have now replaced everything but the lines.
