Default Help - Tire Sensor -1999

Hi,
I had to replace the driver's side rear tire sensor (I had a tire dealer switch out a set of tires and wheels. They had to keep my sensors on because the newer tires and wheels came from a 2002 and I have a 1999. During the replacement they stripped the sensor and could not re-install. They needed to order a sensor. 3 weeks later - today - they said the sensor was in. It would not work. The other sensors work fine. I was told to go to a Chevy dealer and get a sensor. I did that - YIKES! - and when they installed the new sensor I still could not get a reading). The DIC says: Service Tire Mon System. Any ideas as to what is wrong? Thanks!

As you know there is a difference between the 99 and the 2002 sensors. First you need to be sure they ordered the proper sensor. Next, you need to reprogram the sensors for your car. you do this by going into the DIC using buttons 1-5 and reset...you need a magnet for the process as well. I used a 6.5" speaker magnet.
