I run HPDE's in my car so I do it annually. I think GM says every 50k or something.

In a street-driven car, I change out the tranny and diff fluid every 35K miles, or five years for cars with few miles put on them.

M1 or AMS? Are you kididng, you want me to get my head ???

Seriously, any synthetic Dexron III compatible fluid will probably work fine (and yes, I use M1, ssshhhhh) .

Have a good one,
Mike

My Owner's Manual states: Manual transmission fluid doesn’t require change.

I run full Amsoil fluids in my car, great stuff!
Sorry, couldn't resist.

He used DEALER & TRUST in the same sentence!

Default Rattling noise

I have an 02 MN6 coupe and since they day I brought her home with 43k miles I have been hearing a rattling noise from the rear end when shifting gears. I was told this was natural for a C5. Was I lied to and does this sound mean I need to flush and replace the differential fluid??

T56 trannys have low-rpm gear noise (mine's around 1000-1300 rpm) that sounds like a rattle. Assuming that's what you're hearing, everything's fine.

Other than that, give us more details.

HTH, and have a good one,
Mike

I'll pay more attention to what RPM I am running when I hear the rattle and let you know what I find; thanks for your input Either way I am thinking that I will go ahead and drain and refill my dif fluid this weekend while I have the car up on jacks replacing the rotors, calibers, pads and brake fluid.
