2003 Z51 or no ?????

I am thinking of buying a 2003 coupe / auto, can anyone tell me how to find out if its a Z51 from the VIN#

You have to look at the options sheet. In my 03 Z06 it is located on the glove compartment door. It will have all the option codes listed on it. You should see FE3 for the Z51 suspension and also Z51. The codes are in alphanumeric order.

The only way to find out from the VIN is if you or someone you know has access to the GM dealer computer system, which will print out an option list with the service history of the car. The actual VIN only contains codes for body style and engine. Other than that, as mentioned, look for Z51 and FE3 (the suspension portion of the Z51 package) on the glove compartment RPO list.

On my 98 conv, it is in the trunk, left compartment. Just incase you look at a conv.
