Today was the worst day of my life...I went to a tire shop to switch out my rims..and put new black z06 replicas on the old tires. First off a guy drove the car up on a ramp lift..when he came over the front of the lift..my car bottomed out and he ripped off a mudflap and consequently cracked an inch of the fender bottom..which i didnt notice till i got home!!! They then proceeded to back the car off the lift..and couldnt figure out how to get a rolling jack under the car. I suggested they roll the car onto a 2x6 to give the car enough lift. Then i made then put it on the proper jacking points...as they were just going to jack it up from somewhere in the middle front. They took off a rim..broke the bead...and never seen a tire sensor before. the owner and three workers stood dumbfounded..and tried to figure out how to get the sensor out. One guy started to try to use a wrench and twist off the nut..but the nut was spinning along with the part that goes into the sensor. They claimed someone had broke or stripped it prior to them touching it. the owner told the worker to "back out of the job" They replaced the tire back on the old rim...and told me to go elsewhere. Can you believe this sh*t???!!!! The sensor is still working because it was reading a warning claiming tire was over inflated...it was 10 pounds over the recommended amount. SO...my question is..do you think they screwed the tire sensor up..or is there a trick to getting them off? thanks
Wow, what a bunch of idiots. I changed one of mine and it came right off. Sorry to hear about it. I would go back and have them replace the sensor and fix the fender. Take Pics. Good Luck
