My best 1/8 run that I can recall is 8.410 with a 2.1 60'. With my calculations of my car having a multiplication factor of 1.52(ratio of 1/4 divided by 1/8), I get a 12.78, which is what I have seen an LS1 run, MN6, with my same gearing run at 12.72 so I know it's almost dead on. Is that a respectable time considering street tires, bad 60' and with my mods? It was over 90 when I ran this time. I had 2.0 60's on other days but the same E.T. because it was so hot and humid. Just curious. Thanks.
My best time in the 1/8 mi is 8.61 @ 85.8 mph. My 60 ft on that run was a 2.11. I have a 98 M6. Temp was in the high 80's with high humidity.(i live on the gulf coast). I was on runflats (24 PSI) and mods were TBB, Vortex rammer, removed MAF screen, A&A exhaust mod. I hope to get 8.4's , as i am planning more mods. Cooler temps will help, too. Won't be long! That was my first time with my C5, WAY different than with my 94 M6. With more practice, I hope to get better. SCOTT

Weather plays a huge factor on cars that are not weather tuned. We simply add gas and go to the track, maybe do some traction mods. So hot weather has a very diverse effect on our times. Take my best time ever...1.90 8.29 86.15 12.92 105.29. Compare to my after cam times of 2.07 8.54 85.45. At first glance, anyone would ask, "added a cam and slowed down?" Answer would be, "No". I dynoed more power and am running a lot faster than my buds now, yet I am still off my best time. Friends of mine are off by .6 in the 1/8 mile alone in Houston.
January & February and June & July are different planets in Houston.
Yes, your times are respectable for the heat of summer. You have the breathing, now add a camshaft!
