Tyre Sensor Advice Please
Hi all, i am just in the process of changing the tyres and wheels on my 2000 C5, from stock rims to the thin 5 spoke magnesium ones
and was wondering how easy it is to remove the sensors from the old rims to put in the new rims and also is there any sort of recalibration need to reset the sensors to the new tyres, which incidentally will be dunlop sportmax.
thank you very much in advance for any help.
cheers daryn

It is not hard at all to swap out the sensors. Just get some new "O"-rings (#9) to put on the sensor when you reinstall them on the new wheels.
Go here for recalibration proceedures...

It's a piece of cake and will take 5 minutes at most. Any reasonable sized magnet (an old speaker magnet) is the only tool you'll need.
You might consider new sensors in light of the age of your sensors. You are likely to experience sensor (battery) failure in the next couple of years.
Good luck... GUSTO
