The windows are adjustable. First you need to isolate where the leak is. You can do this by sticking a rubber suction cup, like you use to hang a wreath on your front door, to the inside of the window then go take a drive at speed and pull on the suction cup with your left hand as you drive. My '02 vert has a minor air leak at 65 mph and above and I isolated it this way. When I pull on the suction cup while it is attached on top front part of driver's window the leak sound stops. This tells me I need to adjust the top of the window in a little. There are instructions on adjusting the tilt of the windows in the factory shop manual. I am sure you should be able to get the directions through Tech tips somewhere here on the forum. Good luck on solving this problem.
I know how to fix my problem easier than adjusting the window and that is just riding with the top down. You will smile more!
good point. Because its winter , not quite warm enough to have it down, although believe me i have tried. i have located that the noise is coming from the top at about the 2 0clock position if you sitting in the driver seat looking out, mine a 2002 , i wonder if its a 2002 thing
I also have an 02 vert and just noticed the noise at above 65mph with the top an windows down. I hear like a whistling noise, is that what you are hearing as well?
Have you checked your rear window to make sure its not coming undone from the top. Mine was which caused a sucking wind noise as opposed to a forced wind noise. I sealed it back with 3M window adhesive. Just be sure you let it cure completly before you try the top or it may come undone again.
Yep...had this problem for many years and tried all the usual stuff and none of it worked well. I even made GM replace my top, mechanic ride along and listen and adjust it countless times. GM couldn't fix it, so I installed my B&B Bullets and now the annoying wind noise is completely gone.
