How can you measure the weight of your car? Can you take it to truck scales? The scales at our track are never open. I'd like to know how much my car weighs. It's a 2000 coupe with XR-1 exhaust, headers, donaldson, and some miscellaneous. I've changed the back tires to 295/35/18 pilots. Anybody have a guess? All options (F45).

Yes, truck or farm scales at a grain elevator, feed store, etc. will do the trick. They often don't even charge for weighing cars. Some also leave their scales on at night with the readout turned on and visible so that you can drive on at your convenience. For cars with less well documented specs than the C-5's this can be quite informative, especially front to back bias, for example. But, every magazine has pretty close numbers for the C-5. Good luck.

I've always found it pretty accurate to just look on the door sticker. Take the GVWR and subtract the total weight capacity.
