A friend has a 2003 C5 with the "reduced handling/low tire pressure" problem in the DIC.So every 10 min or so he has to reset it.We performed the "tire learning programm" and this went well. But still after 20 yards of driving again this code.Does he have a bad sensor or what...
Is this a ground problem or a sensor problem???
I know there are some guys out here with a fix to this problem...

Maybe I have to elaborate...The BCM thinks the right front tire is flat but actually is not.So the kickdown doesn't work and a speed limit is advised.
Come on guys....someone else must have had this problem and knows the fix....
(me..impatient...where did you get that idea.. )
Thanks Joe for responding...
So I guess the part of the sensor which is measuring the pressure is the culprit??Because the tire learnig process worked like a charm.

That's my thinking, but does it show 1 wheel as being low? What do the sensor readouts on the DIC indicate? Are the readings within 1 or 2 pounds of what a tire gauge indicates??
Let's do a little more diagnostics before we break the bead on a wheel. LOL
As a short term fix until you can get a new sensor installed you can do the following: Repeat the tire pressure learning but when you get to the right front wheel use the magnet on one of the wheels that has a working sensor. The system will think everything is fine. If you can get the thing to stop broadcasting altogether all you will get is a blank line for the pressure and a warning to repair the system. Speed will not be limited.

Can I use any wheel??(except right front ofcourse)or should I use a wheel that has to be learned yet(so that will be the right rear or the left rear...)
