The front drivers side turn signal doesn't flash as a turn signal or when the hazard flasher is on.
The brake lights are all working.
The hazard flasher works the tail lights and the right signal light, pulsing normally.
The left turn signal flashes only the right rear pulsing rapidly.
I swapped bulbs, no change. The left front is still out.
I swapped relays 38 and 40, no change.
Would the flasher do this? And, if so, is there any way other than removing the dash, to replace the flasher?
The trans was worked on. Are there any wires that could have been nicked?
Thanks!
I had a simalar problem with my '98. The wires for the driver side turn signal run inside the front plastic bumper. I had some corroded wires inside the loom towards the left side. There are some delicate wire connectors that chevy uses and if you can get a good look at the loom on the drivers side you will see a lump...that is where the connectors are.

Good idea. I'll do it before the dash comes off.
Thanks
No luck so far. I changed the flasher, switched all bulbs from right to left and checked any connections I could get to. The left front signal still doesn't work. I guess it's time to take it to the dealer. I left the bezel off so that should help some. The dealer sponsors our club and took the flasher back. They generally treat club members well.
Fixed, but it is odd. I switched bulbs from side to side twice with no luck. I figured it would be worth it to try a new bulb and it worked?
Trying to be positive at least I learned how to pull the switch without removing the dash.
I didn't see any tips for A4's.
When ready to pull the bezel, take your key off the key ring. You will need the room. Turn on the key put the car in 1st gear and the bezel will slide over the shifter (and the key).
For Vert's with the waterfall.
Remove the nuts in the back of the console and slide the tray over the bolts and back under the waterfall. It should go about an inch. This will give you enough room to muscle the front bezel off and on.
My hats off to anyone that can do this in 40 minutes.
I can probably do it in 75 minutes now that I've done it and if all goes smoothly.
I can't get the array of tools ready in less than 15 minutes.
