When I got my emission test done in March, my Check Engine Light came on and I was told to give it a couple days to see if it would go off. It did. but it still comes and goes. However, this last week it seems to stay on and the car will hesitate at 30-35 mph and 45-50 mph at times. Nothing is consistent but I did smell gas last night.
Help
I know it sounds dumb... but is your gas cap on correctly and tight?
The number one cause of check engine lights is caused by loose/missing gas caps....
doesn't sound dumb,,,,but yes, gas cap on correct & tight.
any other thoughts?

all of the codes that showed up had an "H" behind it. I thought if there was a current problem it would show up with "C"? However the 2 codes
P0200H Injector Control Circuit & P0300H Engine Misfire Detected would sound like a cause.
Is it just a simple tune up? Car is 2002. I've owned it for last 2 years and have not done a complete tune up yet?
