P0157 Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Circuit Low Voltage Bank 2 Sensor 2
I'm guessing something happened to it, I haven't had time to actually look at the o2 sensor yet, but i just put an X pipe and headers on, anyone have any thoughts on what it could be? wiring? the actual sensor? thanks!
If I got this right thats the rear passenger side 02 sensor.
most people have the rear 02's deleted after a header install.
All of that suface area cools the exhaust quicker and causes a
slow reponse from the 02 sensor.
I would clear the code and run it a little and see if you get the same code again.

Are you running cats?
I haven't got it tuned, i was going to do that this week or next. I am running cats, but i can see what you mean about the area. I was just hoping i didn't burn up a wire under there or something.
The tuner should help you out by turning the rear o2's off. You do want to make sure the wires do not come in contact with any exhaust parts. I installed some heat shielding on my disconnected rear o2 connectors.
I like to verify that all wires are tied up away from the pipes a week or so after any work in that area is done.

yea, so i just crawled out from under the car, looks like some of that black wrapping on the rear o2 wires had melted on the header. In the dark it looked like the wire had melted too, but i got a flashlight and it hadn't been touched. i got a zip tie and tied it back away from everything, cleared the code in the DIC hopefully it doesn't come back.
Well, i guess i spoke to soon. It came back, but this time, the check engine light came on, so i get home. Turn it off. check the DIC and there are no current codes. So how do i clear it!? Obviously it's 1am, and i'm not about to go look under a car thats 200* in the Texas heat thats 100* (yes, its 100* at 1am!)
I had this code (both sides actually) with a very mild vacumn leak in the intake between the MAF sensor and the air bridge.
It would set, and sometimes with the C/E/L as well. Usually happened after a full throttle acceleration from a higher gear to redline, or in a long coast in gear down a hill.
Cured the vacumn leak, and no codes since (or CEL).
Don't know if that's your problem, but if you've been working on the intake, you may want to check that.

Go to "Tech Tips" in "Other" and scroll down to "Erase DTC Codes". That should clear up the check light. Your going to have to get O2 simulators or get the O2 sensors turned off to eliminate the problem.
