Has anyone had this problem with installing Bilstien shocks?
I installed front and rear Bilstien Sport shocks on my '97 C5. The fronts have no squealing coming from bushings, but the back did. After 2 times of trying to solve this issue by using Silicone lubrication without success, I reused the (perfectly good) OEM rear shock bushings and so far no squeaking. I believe the design of the OEM bushing gives a better fit.
Thanks for your input.

A while back I had real bad squeaking....took a long time to figure out it was same dirt in the upper shock bushing on my Bilsteins. Just cleaned the bushing and put some oil on it.
I ordered a whole new set of bushing/washers but never had them installed.
Thanks see5 and DH...I think I have it fixed for now...I'll see when the cold weather sets in...those tips are appreciated..and I agree with you see5 the OEM bushings are superior to the Bilstien bushings...No dirt DH all new stuff and I gorilla tightened them after the first squeaking...and that didn't help. Will update if any other development occurs..
Thanks
