Default Another new kid on the block - Door lock problems

Greetings all,
As the title says, I'm new the Corvettes, I've only had mine for a few months. It's been great w/ few problems. Already lived through the column lock at the worst possible time. Now I've got another problem and I'm hoping someone has seen this before. The unlock function on my drivers side door doesn't work with the fob or door button. The passenger side works just fine. I'm figuring it's the motor, but I was wondering if this is something that a fairly technical person could do. I'd rather not pay my deductible if it'll be cheaper to fix it myself. Thanks in advance for your help.
Dave

I have the same problem on my wifes C5 on the passenger side door. It works sometimes, but most of the time it doesn't. It may lock with the FOB, or the lock button from the drivers side, but then it will not unlock. I would be interested to hear also if this may be an easy fix. :yesnod:

There is a left door control module in the left door and a right door control module in the right door (LDCM & RDCM)...A door lock actuator that only operates in one direction is commonly caused by a faulty module...Faulty door lock actuators (motors) are not common on the C-5...

I have this problem too. What part number would I need and how would I replace the LDCM (Left Door Control Module)?

My driver's side door lock is intermittent also. Most of the time it works okay, sometimes I have to trigger the fob 2 or 3 times.

Ok, this is just getting fun now. So my lock didn't work for the past 3 days. Last night, I'm going to show someone how it doesn't work, and it does. Thanks for the input. I think I'm just going to swap the module out to save myself the frustration.

Boy did you call that one "right on the money". I just got my wifes Vette back from the dealer and they replaced the Right control module. ALl is well !
Thanks for your input ! :seeya

I had the same problem, drivers door would not unlock with power. Happened at the track about 3 months ago. The next day it worked fine and has ever since. Watch, I probably just jinxed myself.
