Phil 97Svt provided the coil relocation kit and LAPD did the installation. Phil makes a high quality product and was very helpful during the install.
After everything was completed, LAPD used their new custom detail service on the entire car, including the engine compartment.
Thanks LAPD for making my car run and look the best it's ever been.
...very nice, I especially like the valve covers!
You gotta cut off the extra length of hose clamp at the air bridge to make the engine compartment perfect though...
These are the C5R valve covers that GM supplies. You have to cut holes for oil filler cap and pcv system, make your own gaskets and, if you like the look, powder coat in the desired colors.

Good eyes. Hope no one would notice until I got the proper size clamp.
where do the coils get relocated to? i couldnt spot them...am i going blind?!
That's what makes Phil's kit so nice. One coil group is hidden down by the battery and the other is in the driver's side front wheel well. All wires are made to exact lengths needed to complete installation and it's almost impossible to see any coils when looking down into the engine
Sweet and very clean under that hood, is that an heat extractor hood
That is a ACP low rise heat extractor hood. They make a high rise version for supercharged engines. My car runs very cool for 12.4 to 1 CR and one of the reasons for the coolness is this hood.
From: Alhambra Calismognazifornia, in the country everyone comes just to complain but won't go back home!

"low rise" being a relative term? that still looks pretty tall to me compared to stock
The biggest cost is the powder coating. The covers look great as is with no coating or just the letters painted in. I decided to go the full route because of many car shows. Also, I did some of the work myself. I just wanted to emphasize the C5R aspect.

Check out the ACP website and you will see the differences in the hoods. I started out with the high rise version but switched to this one which doesnt seem high when you see it in person. It gives the car an aggressive look and I get many compliments.
