Just had the FSU replaced in my 97/C5/coupe/auto/51Kmiles...
Tried the techron first...finally got the FSU replaced at a dealer yesterday. Filled up the tank tonight and 21 miles later...chimes/check guages light/low fuel (DIC)/analog fuel guage at "0"...I can't believe it is happening again
Any one got any brain storms, aside from driving through the service department at some un-godly speed?

I just started having the same problem on mine.. 97 w/ 34K miles
I don't think I conditioned my battery very well over the long winter ( I HAVE to get on a schedule for the two harleys, the pick-up, the jeep and the vette) so I think that low voltage caused problems with my FSU. It is intermittent; every now and then when I am driving, I get a message on the DIC to "checkgauges" and the analog fuel gauge goes to zero, as well as the HUD. It is very intermittent at this point, and I have found that by shutting the car off for a while (resets the computer???) or sometimes just getting gas and filling the tank, seems to solve the problem until the next time that this happems. I am starting to just use mileage and MPG figures to estimate when I will need gas again and to hell with the gauge...kind of like what I do on my H-D '94 wide glide which also has a feul gauge which sucks. Probably the best thing about this forum is that "misery loves company." I take some solace in the fact that I am not the only one who has these problems.
By the way, my 1990 C4 didn't go the dealer, it went to a priest to get exorcised...I was convinced it was possessed...LOL
Well...after 2 trips to the dealer...and new Fuel Sensors units in both tanks...all is well now. The Techron helped a little but it kept coming back...thank god I had an extended warranty...$800 each trip/tank...believe or not the dealer filled my tank on the second trip
