I was at the track last week and my buddy noticed that during one of the burn outs only one wheel spun. Are these diffs the same as the fords, do they have clutch packs that wear? I have never done fishtails with the car either. Maybe the tires were not wet enough but just wondering what others thought..thanks..
jack the rear up or really just one side put it in neut. try to turn raised wheel. it should be impossible. if ya can pull the rear. make a big puddle of soapy water some where safe do a burn out .

Start saving for a rebuild. It may be fine on the street, but a few more burnouts/launches at the track, it'll start making noise.
If it wasn't for those clutchpacks I would have had a couple less rebuilds.
The Posi PreLoad Spring or Springs May Be Broken. All of the broken posi springs I’ve seen have come out of diffs/cars where the owners were known for doing big burnouts while feathering the brakes. Install a line lock to solve that.
Installing new pre-load spring shouldn’t cost very much. With the diff out I would bet the labor to be about $200 $250. Close to the same cost as having a hardened output shaft installed. There isn’t any set up, shimming or measurement involved. If your strictly a drag guy then a set of higher than stock force springs might be in order.
