Already knew why! I'm sorry, but tires sticking out on Vettes does not look cool, looks like they are borrowed from another car! You throw up all kind of crap behind the wheels, plus if you hit a pot hole etc. your tire will hit the fender lip, and could fracture the fender.

If you want big rubber on the back do it right, and tub it!

Thanks, I bought these when they first came out. I did not want chrome and so far so good on them as I got them almost a year ago, needed some wider rubber to go with the bling under the hood.

They are a finish in the lips that has black in the finish and they are not chrome. I went with 18 X 9 1/2 front and 18 X 11 in the rear. I also ordered some center caps with the C5 Flags as they only come with just chrome ones

One real important thing I forgot to mention, these rims are as easy to keep clean as my Mag rims. Not high maintenance like the chrome ones and chrome is great if you spend the big bucks for the high quality ones, just my 2c on buying chrome rims

They came from Nate at Corvette Garage, they are probably now more affordable than they were last year, when I was one of the first with them on my Coupe

Easier said than done. I have not seen a commercial rear flare that dosen't look 'tacked on'!

Tubbing requires no exterior bodywork, or paint matching, and retains the stock lines of the car.

I have the 18 X 9.5 stock rear wheels on at this time...

Do you guys have any problems with the 18 X 11 rear dimensions on the car???

Im not a fan of the tires sticking to far out from the fender...

Thanks for your thoughts

Chad

Also What is tubbing and will I have to do it with the 18 X 11 rears?
