Default cruise control question...

Y'all did so well with my last problem (you solved it THANKS!) I now have one more I need help figuring out, the cuise control will not engage over 40 mph. If i engage under 40 it works and can accellerate
to whatever speed I want, note if the care does go over a bump, and not a big one mind you, the cruise will disengage. Anyone hear of this happening before?? Any info would be helpful.
Thanks,
G.

Not sure on the speed part, that is just strange. Will have to look that one up. Normally the cruse disengaging with a bump in the road is the brake or clutch pedal switch adjustment. Try holding the pedals up with your foot and see if that fixes the problem, it if does then you know which switch you need to adjust.

Default Thanks Speed....

I forgot to mention that the car is a 98 automatic, sorry, I will check the brake on the way home from work today. It is weird the speed thing, you would think that the cuise would either work or not work, not just at a special speed. Oh the joy of electronics!!!

Default Speed your a genius!!!

Thanks the pulling up on the brake worked, it also let me engage at speeds higher than 40 so somehow the speed is tied into it.
I will adjust the pedal.
Thanks again, I owe you one, or two!!!
