Did my Dynatech install yesterday, and put in new AC Iridium plugs and GM Performance wires, number 12495519. (they are red colored) My concern is this. The new wires had 375-380 ohms of resistance and the OE wires had less at 321-328 ohms of resistance. In my experience, the wires with the least resistance were considered to be the better wires. Now I wish had gone with MSD like I always have in the past. They usually have only 50 ohms per foot of resistance, and with the Vette wires being so short I bet they would only have 30-50 ohms of resistance. Any comments? Thanks!

MSD is the worst wire ever. My boots split and arched to the headers and they were new. JUNK. Ruined 4 track days and burned my had trying to see what was happening. They never stayed on either POS. Clip on the end sucks as you can hardly feel it click on.

The MSD wires are about the best wires you can put on your car. I've never seen or heard of any others busting or having trouble staying on the plug. The MSD's ohm out at around 26ohm's of resistance, the lowest of any of the wires I've checked. Even the long LT1 wires that I installed today only had 35-40ohm's of resistance.

my stock wires had 50,000 ++ on them no problem. So I fiured I'd upgrade but MSD was (**)*%@%. Got some from LGM and they went on, stayed on, no more problems.
They suck! JMO and went back to stock GM wires..with cool soxs
Much happier.
While you are certainly entitled to your opinion, what did you base it on? Poor performance? Poor fit? Misfiring? Obviously MSD ignition parts have been around for a long time, so it would be nice to know what specific problem you had.

I could not feel the wire clip on. The picture above where the boot exploded had a cool sox on it. My stock wires never did in 50,000 miles. The MSD wires never stayed on. Ruin 4 track days and burned my hands trying to get them back on a hot motor. Couldn't tell if it was the gloves burning or my skin after a while. Wires from LG may be Taylor but I put them on and never had another miss fire or loose wire. LG told me if I don't buy his wires just buy stock wires. MSD=POS X 1,000,000

Regardless of the two or three people that have had some sort of problem with the MSD wires, they are still some of the best you can buy. I read post everyday about trouble codes and Vettes that wont run right but no one is bashing Chevy or Vette for the little trouble they have.
Not gonna lie.. i'm running autolites... cost me as much for a whole set as you would spend on a single wire from the dealer...
I wanted some delcos but i had just finished my cam swap and broke a wire (114k miles on it) and didn't have the cash for a full set of delcos.. i also needed my car running ASAP so.... I broke down for the autos.... during that install i broke on of those... actually i didn't a friend did and it broke right in half.. not sure how it happened by it did.. anyways.. i replaced that one with a good used delco.. no problems.
These wires are so short i doubt you can find a problem with an aftermarket wire not meeting OEM or better specs... The real problm is will they handle the heat of aftermarket headers... I have one of my boots resting on one of my tubes.. It has a flat spot where it rest but thats it...
Wow!!!! You get all kinds of stories about these wires. don't you....Me, I've had the MSD wires on my car for about 5 years now---absolutely no problems whatsoever.
Thanks for the input guys. I had no idea I would get responses like this. My car runs fine, but as a true Corvette guy, I am always looking for a bit of an edge. That is where the original post came from. Have a great day!
